The Brief
The project began with a simple absurd premise: What if there were practical tips for surviving an alien abduction? That idea became the base for a short animated film built around humor, tension and visual storytelling.
The Direction
We treated the film like a survival guide taken too seriously. The tone had to feel funny without becoming random, cinematic without losing the simplicity of the illustration style. The goal was to make the absurd idea feel complete - with its own rules, pace and world.

The Visual World
The film was built through illustrated scenes, character design, typography and motion.
The visual language combines dark sci-fi atmosphere with playful details: the UFO, the abducted character, the alien environment and the instructional title treatment all work together to make the concept feel clear and memorable.
The Animation
The animation focused on timing, expression and scene rhythm. Character movement, camera framing, transitions and small visual beats were used to carry the joke forward and keep the film moving like a real short - not just a sequence of illustrated scenes.
What It Shows
Alien Abduction shows BERTA’s ability to build a story through concept, image and motion. The project turns a strange idea into a complete animated world - with character, timing and a clear point of view.
